Citizendium - According to its own description this is "is an experimental new wiki project. The project, started by a co-founder of Wikipedia, aims to improve on that model by adding "gentle expert oversight" and requiring contributors to use their real names."

Everyday Mysteries -This Library of Congreess web site provides answers to life's most interesting questions through a scientific point of view. All the questions presented on this Web site were asked by researchers and answered by librarians from the Library's Science Reference Services. A fun web site to explore!Funk & Wagnalls New World Encyclopedia - This database provides over 25,000 encyclopedic entries covering a variety of subject areas.

Factbites - Is a new web search tool self-described as "an encyclopedia crossed with a search engine"! FactBites pulls facts from web pages or online encyclopedias and presents them in your search results.
