COCC students and faculty
As a COCC student or faculty, you have access to materials beyond our local collection through the following services:
Summit borrowing
Summit combines the library catalogs of over 36 academic libraries in the Northwest into a single unified database. COCC patrons may place requests for Summit materials by simply following the on-screen instructions.
Oasis
Use the Oasis catalog (Oregon State University Libraries catalog) to search for materials. Once you locate a title you want to borrow, click on the "Request" button to have the item sent to you. You may pick up the book at the COCC Barber Library within two to three working days. OSU owned books are checked out for 21 days with 3 renewals (you may renew materials online or by calling 383-7560).
Note: Oasis materials are included in and can also be requested through the Summit catalog.
Interlibrary Loan (ILL)
If materials are not available through Summit, you may request them from another library through Interlibrary Loan (ILL). Note that this service might take up to 7-10 working days for delivery of items. To place your ILL request, use the library's Interlibrary Loan Form.
COCC's Ebsco databases also allow you to easily place interlibrary loan requests for articles not available full-text through inserted ILL links under each article citation.
OSU Cascades students and faculty
If you are a student or faculty at OSU Cascades, you have the same access as COCC patrons to Oasis and Summit borrowing services as described above.

Interlibrary Loan
If materials are not available through Oasis and Summit, you can request materials from another library through the OSU Libraries Interlibrary Loan services: http://osulibrary.orst.edu/ill/index.html

Library charges are posted directly to your OSU account; an invoice is mailed to you at the end of each month during which there is account activity.
- General Collection: $.25 per day per item
- Orbis Loans: 50¢/day first 10 days; $1/day next 15 days, $20 maximum
- Interlibrary Loans: 50¢/day
