The Spirit of Our NW Forests Fall 2007

The Spirit of Our Northwest Forests opened in the Library Rotunda Gallery on September 17 and ran until October 25, 2007 The work of over 40 talented artists was on display and included artists from Central Oregon,  Eugene, Springfield, and Seattle. The exhibit featured art in stone, oil, watercolor, pastels, wood, bronze and more. The show was juried by local painter, Ken Roth. Ken’s paintings reflect his interest in nature, light and color. He studied under master Sebastian Capella. His work is represented in galleries throughout the west. Ken chose the poster piece for the show, “Evening Aura,” oil on panel, by Lisa Copenhagen Wachs.  It was inspired by old growth ponderosa and juniper on her property in Tumalo.
